Timberline Lodge, Mount Hood

In June 2018, Elaine and I visited Timberline Lodge on the southern slope of Mount Hood in Oregon. Built in 1937 in the Great Depression as part of the Federal Works Progress Administration, the lodge is a spectacular example of the era's architecture, and it sits in right at the base of Hood's glaciers in one of the prettiest spots you will ever find.
